An 11-year-old boy was last reported to be in critical condition after getting struck by a pickup truck while riding a bicycle on Jamestown's east side early Tuesday afternoon. According to Jamestown Police, the collision occurred on Willard Street between Kinney Street and Allen Street at about 1:30 PM. Police say the child was rushed by Alstar Ambulance to UPMC Chautauqua then flown to Oishei Children's Hospital in Buffalo for treatment. No charges have been filed at this time, and the investigation is continuing with assistance from the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office. The collision led to the closing of that section of Willard Street to clear the scene.
