ArtScape Jamestown has announced its 2026 season, featuring a vibrant lineup of public art events designed to celebrate creativity, community, and connection throughout the summer months. The season's centerpiece is the Original Art Show Opening Reception, taking place on Thursday, May 21st from 5:00-7:00 PM, hosted collaboratively by the Chautauqua Art Gallery and Pearl City Clay House.
Now in its fourth year, ArtScape will display 59 banners installed throughout downtown Jamestown in June, showcasing the juried work of regional artists and transforming Jamestown into an open-air gallery. The original artwork featured on the banners will be exhibited indoors from May 21st through July 4th at both gallery locations. The opening reception will begin at the Chautauqua Art Gallery at 5:00 PM, with remarks at 5:30 PM. Guests are then invited to walk or drive to Pearl City Clay House to experience the full exhibition.
Visitors can enjoy an evening of art and community by taking part in the Third Street Third on Third festivities hosted by the Chamber of Commerce along the route between venues. Visitors can even conclude their evening with a free concert at the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts at 7:30 PM.
Chautauqua Art Gallery owner Leslie Calimeri says, "This exhibition represents the heart of ArtScape -- bringing artists and the public together in meaningful, accessible ways. We're excited to showcase the original works behind the banners and create an engaging, walkable arts experience for the community."
Pearl City Clay House Program Director Deborah Eck says, "We love providing a space where people can connect directly with artists and their process. This season offers multiple opportunities to experience art in a relaxed, welcoming environment."
Other summer programming includes Sunday artist salons, the Jamestown Farmers Market, and Plein air and sketching sessions.
