A Jamestown woman who had outstanding felony warrants was taken into custody after an investigation into a report of an unsupervised child in a neighborhood on the city's south side last Wednesday. Jamestown Police responded to an undisclosed address shortly before 8:45 PM and determined that 41-year-old Shalena Freeman was the adult responsible for the child. In addition to her warrants, Freeman was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and resisting arrest, and she was later booked into the Chautauqua County Jail. Officers add that the child was uninjured and picked up by a family member.
