A heads up for motorists who travel on Route 5 in the Dunkirk area...the bridge over Canadaway Creek, near Temple Road, will be closed as of Friday for the summer season. That's according to the West Dunkirk Fire Department, which made the announcement on its Facebook page. Eastbound motorists can use Willow Road and get onto Temple Road as a detour, while those traveling west on Route 5 can travel from Temple Road to Willow Road.
