Jamestown Lawmakers Review Final Numbers for 2026 CDBG, HOME Programs

Actual numbers have been finalized for the City of Jamestown's 2026 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Program 2026 Action Plan. The City Council's Housing and Finance committees went through the numbers with Development Director Crystal Surdyk. Surdyk provided a handout with the final numbers, which are $1,113,722 for CDBG and $279,108.19 for the HOME Program. $210,000 of that money is being allocated for publicly or privately owned commercial and industrial rehabilitation, and just over $162,000 will be used for small business development and technology assistance. She adds the required public hearing will be held on Monday prior to the council's next voting session...

Other allocations include $101,000 for Neighborhood Target Area Infrastructure Improvement and $110,000 for targeted demolition work. Council will vote on the plan on Monday.
