A woman is facing a child endangerment charge after she allegedly abandoned her special needs child for months without a set time or date to retrieve the child. Ellicott Town Police say they responded to reports of a suspicious situation on Tuesday. Officers say the adult that 28-year-old Bobbiejo Ostrom had left the child with was not specially trained to take care of a special needs child nor was the adult a parent or guardian of the child. Ostrom was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail and charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
