A federal grand jury has indicted a Jamestown man on a narcotics conspiracy charge. U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced Friday that 35-year-old Joseph Fontanez-Walker has been charged with narcotics conspiracy, which carries a minimum penalty of 10 years in prison and a maximum of life. According to the indictment, Fontanez-Walker allegedly conspired with others to sell fentanyl and heroin in the Jamestown area between 2019 and January 2022.
The indictment is the result of an investigation by DEA and the Jamestown Police Department. Fontanez-Walker has been arraigned before a U.S. magistrate judge and is being held pending a detention hearing on Monday.
