
A Jamestown woman has been charged under Leandra's Law for allegedly driving while impaired with four minors in her vehicle on Sunday. Jamestown Police were patrolling the area of West Harrison Street and Barrett Avenue shortly after 8:00 PM when they saw a vehicle stopped in the intersection with a damaged street sign and stop sign lodged underneath it. Officers determined that the driver, 25-year-old Megan Leeper, was allegedly impaired by drugs and alcohol. Further investigation found that four juveniles under the age of 16 were passengers in the vehicle. Leeper was transported to the Jamestown City Jail and held pending arraignment on charges of driving while ability impaired by drugs and alcohol, aggravated DWI with a child passenger, four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and multiple uniform traffic tickets.
