A Silver Creek man is facing charges after an investigation into an altercation in the village. Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies were called to an undisclosed location shortly before 1:30 PM last Thursday on a report that 42-year-old Edward Thurman had allegedly damaged another person's property and had also allegedly struck that individual. Deputies say Thurman was later located and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment on charges of 2nd-degree harassment and 4th-degree criminal mischief.
