Two of the Dunkirk City School District's top administrators will be staying put for the next five years. On Tuesday, the district's Board of Education approved contract extensions for Superintendent Brian Swatland and Executive Director of Academic Programs and Data Rebecca Leone, both running through June 2031. Swatland, who was a guest on WDOE's "Viewpoint" program on Wednesday, says he's "very fortunate" that the board continues to put its trust in him...

Swatland is completing his second year with Dunkirk and his first as Superintendent. Leone was appointed to her current role in April 2025.
