The National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center has issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 8:00 PM for an area that includes Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Allegany counties. Forecasters say loosely organized clusters should pose a threat for mainly damaging winds as they move east-northeastward during the afternoon and evening hours. Primary threats include scattered damaging wind gusts up to 65 MPH likely and isolated large hail events up to 1.5 inches in diameter possible.
