With the World Cup about to begin, bars and restaurants throughout New York State will be allowed to sell alcoholic beverages until 4:00 AM throughout the course of the tournament. Governor Kathy Hochul says the legislation she signed this week will help bars, restaurants and other on-premises establishments meet increased demand during one of the world's largest sporting events, while maintaining an orderly and time-limited framework for alcohol service. The new law takes effect today and runs through July 20th.
