A Jamestown man was taken into custody after he allegedly menaced someone he is ordered to stay away from. Jamestown Police responded to an address on the city's east side shortly before 3:15 AM Sunday for a report of a person with a weapon. Officers say an investigation alleged that 56-year-old Robert Overton, Jr. brandished a pistol in the female caller's direction, and that he has a full order of protection to stay away from that person. Overton was charged with two counts of 1st-degree criminal contempt and one count of 2nd-degree menacing and is being held in the Chautauqua County Jail.
