Nominations Sought for America 250 Community Heroes Award

As the U.S. prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary, Congressman Nick Langworthy has launched an initiative recognizing outstanding citizens throughout Western New York and the Southern Tier. Langworthy is encouraging residents across New York's 23rd District to nominate people for the America 250 Community Heroes Award. He says there are countless individuals who embody the values of "service, sacrifice, patriotism, hard work, and a commitment to something greater than themselves"...

Individuals may be nominated for contributions in areas including health care, veterans and military service, first response, education, coaching and mentoring, volunteerism, nonprofit leadership, civic engagement, and community service. Winners of the award will be recognized in August.
