A total of eight people were taken to Buffalo hospitals with varying injuries as the result of a crash involving two vehicles and a runaway horse in Cattaraugus County Tuesday afternoon. The Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office says the incident was reported shortly before 2:00 PM, when a vehicle traveling south on Route 353 in the Town of Little Valley struck the horse and subsequently struck a northbound vehicle head-on. Deputies say two adults were transported to ECMC, and five children were sent to Golisano Children's Hospital. A third adult, who was thrown from the horse prior to the collision, was also taken to ECMC. The Sheriff's Office says the crash is under investigation.
