Strong to severe thunderstorms will be a possibility across most of Western New York on Thursday. The National Weather Service in Buffalo says a few rounds of showers and widely scattered thunderstorms will cross the region, and some storms will have the potential for isolated damaging wind gusts and large hail. The National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center has most of the region, including Chautauqua County, under a marginal severe weather risk. Forecasters say the timing for any severe activity will be 2:00-8:00 PM. An isolated tornado can't be ruled out across the Western Southern Tier.
