Three people were injured in a collision between two boats on Chautauqua Lake late Saturday night. The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office responded to the area of Prendergast Point in the Town of Chautauqua shortly before 11:15 PM. The Sheriff's Office says three people were on one boat, while five were on the other boat. The victims who were injured were transported to UPMC Chautauqua in Jamestown, and one was later flown to the Hamot Medical Center in Erie for non-life threatening injuries. The Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by the Chautauqua County Water Emergency Team, North Lake Fire, Chautauqua Fire, and the County Medic. The investigation is ongoing.
