A state lawmaker who spent several years in Chautauqua County government recently weighed in on the rekindled debate among members of the county's current legislative panel on whether job creation should be the county's top economic development goal. County lawmakers have debated the issue on two occasions this year, most recently during the panel's June meeting. A measure that was introduced by Jamestown Democrat Fred Larson was referred to committee.
