A portion of Webster Road in the Town of Pomfret will be closed to traffic for much of Thursday. Pomfret Highway Superintendent Jude Gardner says the closure will occur between Fredonia-Stockton Road and the Pomfret town line for the purpose of chip sealing. The road should be closed from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Gardner says delays are expected, and residents are encouraged to use an alternate route.
