Jamestown Comptroller Says City Revenues Are on Track Through First Half of Year

The City of Jamestown is holding its own financially through the first half of 2026, but not all the information is in yet. That from City Comptroller Ericka Thomas, who recently reported to the City Council that revenues are on track for the first two quarters of the year. She says they are still waiting for more information in two revenue areas -- those are sales tax payments and adult-use cannabis tax payments...

Thomas adds that overall salaries are also on track for the first six months of 2026. She says fuel costs remain high, but aren't as bad as she believed they might be...

Thomas added that there are also payments on three bonds, as well as a current Bond Anticipation Note of $5.6 million. She noted that templates for 2027 department head budgets will be sent out shortly.
