An investigation into a reported fight with weapons resulted in the arrest of a Jamestown man Wednesday evening. Jamestown Police officers who were working a STRIVE detail responded to an address on the city's south side at about 7:00 PM. According to police, 38-year-old Joshua Becker was found to have swung a baseball bat in a threatening manner towards the victim and a young child. Officers located Becker a short distance away and took him into custody without incident. He is being held pending arraignment on charges of 3rd-degree criminal possession of a weapon, 2nd-degree menacing, and endangering the welfare of a child.
