
There continues to be little change in New York State's unemployment figures. According to preliminary statistics released Thursday by the State Department of Labor, the state's seasonally adjusted jobless rate remained unchanged in June, clocking in at 4.6%. Meanwhile, the number of private sector jobs decreased by 3,400 over the past month, while the total job count is up by 46,000 compared to June 2025. The state's seasonally adjusted labor force fell by 28,600, and the labor force participation rate decreased by two-tenths of a percent to 61.5%.
