Man with Federal Warrant Arrested After Trying to Flee from Jamestown Drug Bust

A Jamestown man was taken into custody on numerous charges after he allegedly drove from the scene of a drug bust, leaped over a cemetery fence, and ditched a large quantity of narcotics last week. Narcotics detectives from the Jamestown Police Department and investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at 63 West 14th Street shortly after 2:00 PM Thursday. According to Jamestown Police, 24-year-old Dasai Bradberry -- the target of the investigation -- was seen leaving the residence in a vehicle before the warrant was executed. Officers stopped the vehicle on North Main Street near West Oak Hill Road, where Bradberry is alleged to have fled on foot and gone over the fence of Lake View Cemetery while discarding what was later found to be 104.6 grams of methamphetamine and 10.9 grams of fentanyl. Bradberry was taken into custody a short time later, and a search of the residence on West 14th Street yielded two 9 mm ghost guns, digital scales, packaging materials, cutting agents, and a quantity of cash. Officers and detectives at the cemetery were able to recover the drugs that Bradberry allegedly tried to destroy. Bradberry has been charged with two counts of 2nd-degree criminal possession of a weapon, one count each of 2nd-, 3rd- and 4th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, three counts of 2nd-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, as well as 2nd-degree obstruction, resisting arrest, and tampering with physical evidence. Bradberry, who was also wanted on a federal warrant for weapons and narcotics trafficking, is currently being held in the Chautauqua County Jail.
