Nearly 270 law enforcement officials from 55 agencies across New York were involved in a specialized training on combatting auto insurance fraud and related topics. Governor Kathy Hochul says the training, led by State Police and the State Department of Financial Services, is designed to have investigators and law enforcement professionals better detect, investigate and prosecute financial crimes, including auto insurance fraud. The partnership builds on the state's efforts to tackle insurance fraud and lower the cost of auto insurance for New Yorkers.
