An 18-year-old woman is facing several charges stemming from a one-vehicle crash in the Village of Fredonia last Thursday. The incident occurred on Sunset Drive at approximately 8:30 PM. According to Fredonia Police Chief Greg Myers, the driver of the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when she lost control, swerved in the roadway and went into a ditch. The vehicle then flipped over and landed back on its wheels. The woman -- whose identity was not released -- was allegedly found to have a BAC of .25%, more than three times the legal limit. She is scheduled to be arraigned next Monday on charges of DWI, aggravated DWI, unsafe start, speed not reasonable and prudent, and moving from lane unsafely.
