
A Bemus Point man was arrested early Tuesday on charges stemming from a report of a despondent person in the Town of Ellicott. According to Ellicott Town Police, 30-year-old Jesse Pardue allegedly threatened to kill a police officer and harm himself, then fled the scene on foot and failed to comply with law enforcement. He also allegedly tried to steal a vehicle while fleeing from officers. An arrest warrant was issued for Pardue, and he was taken into custody and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment. Pardue was charged with 4th-degree attempted grand larceny and 2nd-degree obstruction.
