Suspicious Death in Dunkirk Under Investigation, Person of Interest Interviewed

An elderly Dunkirk man who was recently reported missing has died, and the Dunkirk Police Department is considering it suspicious. According to Captain Doug Switzer, there is an active investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of 89-year-old Owen Taylor that occurred in or around the area of 515 Dove Street some time between July 22nd and 29th. Detectives continue to gather evidence and conduct follow-up interviews as they work to determine the circumstances surrounding Taylor's death. Investigators are asking anyone who may have information related to this case, or who may have been in the area of the 500 block of Dove Street from July 22-29, to contact the Dunkirk Police Department at (716) 366-2266.
