Two Charged After Complaint of Firearms Discharged Near a House in Town of Carroll

Two Jamestown residents face several charges following an investigation into a complaint of firearms being discharged close to a residence in the Town of Carroll on Sunday. Carroll Town Police were called to an address on Page Road and found 20-year-old Jonathan Marrero-Rosario and 23-year-old Joshua Tolliver, who were allegedly found to be illegally in possession of handguns with no New York State pistol permit. Officers say further investigation found that one of the handguns was reported stolen, and that all of the magazines in their possession exceeded the state's legal capacity requirements. Marrero-Rosario and Tolliver were both charged with discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a house, 2nd-degree criminal possession of a weapon, four counts of 3rd-degree criminal possession of a weapon, 2nd-degree criminal use of a firearm, and 4th-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Both suspects were transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment. Tolliver remains held in the jail on $50,000 bail.
