The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a missing woman. 42-year-old Kate Pinkowski was last seen Wednesday evening at about 9:00 PM in the area of Gowanda or Persia. In a Facebook post, the Sheriff's Office says Pinkowski is "not the subject of a criminal investigation nor is she wanted." Anyone who has seen her or has any information is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at (716) 753-4232.
UPDATE: The Sheriff's Office announced Friday afternoon that the "whereabouts of Kate Pinkowski has been established. She is no longer listed as a missing person." Sheriff Jim Quattrone confirms that she is safe, telling WDOE News that she was located about midday Friday.
