
The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties, as well as southwestern Erie County, until 12:00 PM. At 10:57 AM, radar indicated severe thunderstorms along a line extending from near Westfield to six miles northeast of Lottsville to eight miles southwest of Chapman State Park, moving northeast at 50 MPH. Hazards associated with these storms include 60 MPH wind gusts. Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include Jamestown, Lackawanna, Dunkirk, Fredonia, Hamburg, Salamanca, Allegany State Park, Evans, Boston, and Eden. This includes I-90 between Exits 56 and 60, as well as I-86 between Exits 7 and 23.
