City Comptroller Updates Common Council on Finances

Dunkirk's Comptroller says the city has received two large sources of revenue that will help its cash flow "for the foreseeable future." Tracy Smith-Dengler announced during Tuesday's Common Council meeting that one of those sources is $1.04 million in sales taxes. The other, which she described as a "lovely surprise," is $548,856 in Temporary Municipal Assistance from New York, which is part of the state's 2026-2027 budget...
