Ferguson Anticipates Finalized North County Water Contract by End of Year

The Mayor of Fredonia expects the details of a proposed contract between the village and the North County Water District (NCWD) to be finalized by the end of the year. The village recently received a draft of the proposed agreement as it continues the process of transitioning from its current reservoir-based water system. Ferguson says one of the positives of switching to NCWD is that the village will still be able to do its own billing. He adds that the village will not require 24/7 staffing because it will no longer operate its water treatment plant...

Mike Ferguson: will split time up with other communities

It will be approximately 18 months before Fredonia is ready to "turn the spicket" on its new water service, according to Ferguson.
