Two people died in a two-vehicle, head-on crash Thursday afternoon on Route 430 in the Town of Chautauqua. According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office, an eastbound vehicle driven by 23-year-old Alexander Morelli of Meadville, Pennsylvania failed to keep right shortly before 3:45 PM and crossed over the double solid center line. As a result, it collided with a westbound vehicle driven by 51-year-old Doug Griffith of Massena. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. Crews from North Lake Fire, Sherman Fire and Chautauqua County EMS also responded.
