
A male was flown to an area hospital after he got pinned beneath a tree in the Town of Ripley on Thursday. First responders from Ripley, South Ripley and Sherman responded to an address on South Ripley Road at about 1:30 PM. The Stanley Hose Company says Chautauqua County EMS, County Fire Battalion 1 and the county's Technical Rescue Team were also on scene to help safely extricate the victim. After a coordinated rescue effort, the victim was transported by STAT MedEvac to the Hamot Medical Center in Erie for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
