Ecklund Gives Update on City of Jamestown's Budget Process

The City of Jamestown is more than halfway through initial discussions with department heads about their budgets in 2027. However, Mayor Kim Ecklund is cautioning not to read too much into the numbers this early in the process. Kim Ecklund: some ups and downs
Recent sales tax figures showed the 2nd quarter brought in about $130,000 more than was budgeted. However, that barely made up for a down 1st quarter. Ecklund has to present the new budget by October 8th. The City Council then has until December 1st to adopt a new spending plan.
