The National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center has issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 9:00 PM for an area that includes all of Western New York. Forecasters say scattered to numerous thunderstorms are forecast to move across the watch area through the early evening. The stronger thunderstorms will be capable of wind gusts up to 70 MPH and a risk for isolated large hail up to 1.5 inches in diameter.
