A Chautauqua County Jail inmate faces a felony assault charge after he allegedly kicked a corrections officer at the jail, causing injury. The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division received a complaint of an incident taking place at the jail on August 17th. After an investigation, 45-year-old Robert Schroder was charged with 2nd-degree assault. He was arraigned at the jail and will answer the charge in Chautauqua Town Court at a later date.
