A man in the Town of Ellicott has been charged following a physical domestic incident that occurred last week. Ellicott Town Police say the incident took place on August 17th, with 40-year-old William Merecki allegedly grabbing the victim's head and pushing the victim into a closet door, damaging the door. Merecki is also accused of destroying property during the incident. A warrant was subsequently issued for Merecki, who turned him in on Tuesday. He is due to appear in Ellicott Town Court on charges of 2nd-degree harassment and 4th-degree criminal mischief.
