A man in the Town of Chautauqua has been charged after an investigation into a domestic incident Thursday morning. Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies responded to an address on Canada Road at about 9:30 AM and found that 43-year-old Michael Welder allegedly communicated electronic threats of harm and also damaged to property belonging to a female victim. Welder was located an another address in the town, where he was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with 2nd-degree aggravated harassment and 4th-degree criminal mischief and was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.
