Investigators Looking into Arson at Fredonia Apartment Building

A fire at a multi-unit apartment building in the Village of Fredonia last weekend was found to have been intentionally set. Fredonia Fire Chief Joshua Myers says his department was alerted to the fire at 39 Clinton Avenue just after 2:30 AM Saturday. No injuries were reported. Myers says only one on-duty career firefighter in his department responded because the other two on duty at the time were committed to an EMS call at SUNY Fredonia. An assistant chief and three volunteer firefighters joined the lone on-duty firefighter. Fredonia Fire received mutual aid from the City of Dunkirk.
