The Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation is encouraging charitable organizations serving the Silver Creek and Irving communities to apply for grant funding to help achieve solutions to the most pressing issues facing the area. Applications for grants through the Silver Creek-Irving Heritage Fund (SCIHF) -- a community donor-advised fund of NCCF -- are available online and must be submitted by Sunday, September 20th to the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation, SCIHF, 212 Lake Shore Drive West, Dunkirk, NY 14048. Past SCIHF recipients include the Anderson-Lee Library, Boy Scout Troop 252, Festival of Grapes, Dunkirk-Fredonia Meals on Wheels, Silver Creek Senior Citizens, Silver Creek Hanover Garden Club, Hanover Little League, and St. Columban's on the Lake. The Silver Creek Irving Heritage Fund is focused on "Remembering Our Past -- Securing Our Future."
