Federal Funding Awarded to Three Local Health Care Providers

Three health care providers based in Chautauqua County have been awarded more than $4 million in federal funding for New York's Rural Community Health Integration Initiative. State Senator George Borrello, who announced the awards on Tuesday, says the Chautauqua Health Network will receive $1,838,750 in funding, Westfield Memorial Hospital (pictured) will get $1,250,000, and the Chautauqua Center has been awarded $1,000,000. The funding is part of the $50 billion Rural Health Transformation Program, a five-year initiative established under the "Big Beautiful Bill." Borrello says the money will give local providers greater resources to strengthen regional partnerships and address the needs of the communities they serve. He also credited Western New York's congressional representatives, including Nick Langworthy, for their efforts to advance legislation that made the investment possible.
