
A crash between a Greyhound bus and a tractor-trailer on I-90, just west of the New York State line, landed seven people in area hospitals early Thursday. Numerous first responders, including the Ripley Fire Department, were called to the scene in North East Township at about 12:30 AM. According to the Crescent Hose Company, more than 30 people were evaluated following the crash. On arrival, crews found two people still confined with the bus due to their injuries. Due to the crash, the New York State Thruway Authority diverted westbound traffic at Exit 61 in Ripley.
