A Jamestown man was arrested Friday evening for charges including assault and criminal mischief. Jamestown Police Officers responded to a southside address for a reported domestic incident at around 7:00PM, and through the investigation they determined that 22-year-old Jose Tochimani Garmon had allegedly committed a series of crimes during a domestic dispute. Garmon is accused of causing over $1,000 in damage to the household, preventing the victim from leaving the residence safely, and causing physical injury to the victim. Garmon was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he was held pending arraignment. Garmon was charged with 3rd-degree criminal mischief, 2nd-degree unlawful imprisonment, 3rd-degree assault, and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation.
