Jamestown City Council Okays Receipt of $1.6 Million in Temporary Municipal Assistance

City lawmakers in Jamestown have unanimously approved receipt of nearly $1.6 million from the state to help fill gaps in the city's budget this year and next. The funding was okayed during Monday's City Council voting session. Mayor Kim Ecklund is pleased to have the Temporary Municipal Assistance funding in the bank. Ecklund will be presenting her tentative budget on Thursday, October 8th. Jamestown is receiving $1 million more than was initially projected in the state's $277 billion budget through the Temporary Assistance Program.
