Two economic development officials from Chautauqua County recently attended a two-day summit where discussions were held about the future of nuclear energy. The summit, hosted by the Atlantic Council's Nuclear Energy Policy Initiative, came as the city and county explore whether nuclear energy could play a role in the potential repowering of the former NRG plant in Dunkirk. Geise says they heard directly from industry leaders about where nuclear energy is headed, as well as what it takes to bring a nuclear project to fruition...
