A 16-year-old male who attended West Valley Central School died after a vehicle struck a tree in Cattaraugus County on Wednesday. State Police in Machias responded to Felton Hill Road in the Town of Ashford at about 6:15 PM and determined that the crash occurred when an eastbound pickup truck left the roadway at a curve in the road. Troopers say the passenger, Dominic Fuller of Ellicottville, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, 19-year-old Baily Fuller of West Valley, was taken to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Police say there were no signs of impairment, but add that neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt. Excessive speed was found to be the primary factor in the crash.
