A Jamestown man faces a grand larceny charge stemming from an incident that occurred in the Town of Ellicott during the summer. According to Ellicott Town Police, 55-year-old Kevin Newby took a motorcycle worth more than $3,000 on July 15th without permission or the right to do so. Officers say Newby was stopped by Jamestown Police in the City of Jamestown late Thursday night and was subsequently detained for having an arrest warrant from Ellicott Police. Newby was then taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment on a charge of 3rd-degree grand larceny.
