Multi-Sport Turf Field Opens at Silver Creek Central School

Another part of the Silver Creek Central School District's capital improvement project is now complete. On Thursday, the district hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new multi-sport turf field. Superintendent Katie Ralston says baseball, softball and soccer games will be played on the new field, and it will also be used during the district's physical education classes. During the ceremony, Ralston noted that Silver Creek's theme this year is "We Are the Champions"...

The three-sport field is part of a $36.1 million capital project that was approved in December 2024. The ceremony also included local officials, Assemblyman Andrew Molitor, representatives from CHQ Chamber, and representatives from the offices of Congressman Nick Langworthy, State Senator George Borrello and County Executive P.J. Wendel. Earlier this year, the district opened a new playground.
