Congressman Nick Langworthy's standing with voters in New York's 23rd District has declined over the past two years, according to the results of a new poll. The survey, conducted by Public Policy Polling, finds that 43% of voters in the district approve of Langworthy's job performance, which is down from 66% in 2024. The poll also found that President Donald Trump's net approval rating is -4% with district voters. According to the poll, voters remain divided on whether Langworthy deserved a third term in office; 44% say Langworthy deserves to be re-elected, while 39% say it is time for someone new. The poll, conducted September 22-23, surveyed 626 likely voters via calls and text messages and has a margin of error of +/-3.9%. Langworthy's challenger, Aaron Gies, is highlighting that poll in response to a Cygnal poll showing that Langworthy has a 21-point lead over the Olean Democrat.
